The united states of america has been since its birth, a mixing pot of culture, religion, and tradition. This mix of people brings with it a mix of places and the foods that come with them. The resources that the new pioneers of the country had available to them created a local and american twist to the traditional dishes of people looking to start a new life in the promise land.
In 2001, the USDA came out with choosemyplate.gov to help Americans live a more healthy life.

Harlan's chicken noodle soup
oodles of chicken and noodles! Menu item: chicken noodle soup
- It was February 21st. The snow was coming down lightly and the breeze was cold as I walked to the little cafe across the street from the hotel I was staying in. The inside of the orange daisy cafe was cozy and people sat in all the nooks of the cafe. I sat down and ordered a hot meal. I ordered a bowl of hot and hearty chicken noodle soup. the flavor of the broth wasn't to overwhelming but still very full of flavor. The chicken came in large chunks that were satisfying in both taste and appetite. while the carrots could have been chopped a bit small they were very soft so the size didn't cause much issue. the celery was cooked well the onion wasn't to big but still present. The noodles were soft and filling making the soup a perfect fillinng meal
